Labour Migration from Armenia in 2002-2005
Implementation period:
February - November 2005
OSCE Office in Yerevan
In spite of the significance of labour migration for Armenia, factual information about labour migration trends was scattered and incomplete. A study specifically devoted to this topic was notably missing, which made the formulation of government’s policies extremely difficult if not, in some areas, outright impossible.

This first comprehensive research on labour migration from Armenia provided the state and non-state stakeholders with reliable quantitative data on labour migration flows and helped identify the main problematic areas, which needed intervention.

The survey was initiated by the OSCE Yerevan Office and implemented with financial support from the United Kingdom's Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
